Super Mario 64 Review

Super Mario 64 is without a doubt a groundbreaking video game. Mario is fully in 3D for the first time. The graphics are clean and colorful. And there is so much to do it is quite daunting, but fun none the less.

You start of by going to the Mushroom castle and jumping into a painting. When you jump into one you will go to that level. The mission is to collect the stars and red coins, the more stars you collect, the more paintings you can jump into.

All the paintings in Super Mario 64 require a certain amount of stars. Super Mario himself has some awesome new moves. He can do a triple jump, with each jump he goes higher. He can jump forward for some extra speed. He can also jump in the air and then slide forward.

This time around Mario can fly when he has little wings on his cap, he can turn into a metal Mario, which lets him sink in the water and he can do a couple of other nifty moves.

When it comes to the levels in Super Mario 64, there are a lot. This game can easily keep you busy for longer than 20 hours if you want to collect everything and finish all the levels. It is not required to finish all the levels if you want to beat the game.

There are also many little touches and secrets in the game. Like Yoshi who is happy to see you and gives you a little surprise.

Enemies are plenty and varied. Of course you have the bomb enemies, but there are new ones that will surprise you.

If you have not played this game yet, you must not like video games. This game has single handedly set the standard for all other platforming games that come after it. Super Mario 64 is a classic.
